Meet the Seamstress
Here for All Your Fitting Needs
Sew Cute Alterations began in 2012 in my home and has since made its way to its current location at 1557 Streetsboro Plaza. I have taken many sewing classes to learn the newest techniques over the years, but most of my knowledge comes from years of experience. I am highly committed to customer satisfaction and go out of my way to make sure you walk out happy.
Frequently Asked Questions
You’ve Got Questions - We’ve Got Answers
What should i bring to my fitting?
You should bring your shoes, and any undergarments you plan to wear with your gown. Cups can always be added to your dress, or we offer body tape and other bra options, if you feel more comfortable going without an extra undergarment
I have a lace or scalloped edge on my gown, can it be hemmed without losing that?
YES!
When should my wedding alterations begin?
Wedding gown alterations should begin 8-10 weeks before your wedding day. You are welcome to schedule a quote fitting to assess what needs done and get an estimate before this if needed. Bridesmaids are welcome to join the bride during her fitting or schedule their own fittings.
Do you sell accesories?
YES!! We carry cups for adding in the dress or the sticky kind that are reusable. We also have body tape that can be used for dresses with one shoulder, low back, plunging necklines, etc. Hair pieces, veils, hair vines and combs, headbands, tiaras, as well as bridal party gifts

Booking
Simply call, text, or email to book your fitting. Bridal fittings require a 50$ non refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure your spot in my schedule. This amount will count towards your final bill. I can invoice you by email if scheduling by phone. I only take on so many gowns and spots fill up fast. Bridesmaids, Prom, or other formal wear do not require a deposit.

Bridal Contract
In the contract, it goes over all of your measurements taken at your first fitting, descriptions and sometimes sketches of the work to be completed as well as rush fees and storage fees. It covers the shoes you have, and notes that any changes to your measurements due to weight loss/gain, pregnancy, surgery, etc, can result in additional charges if more alterations are needed. If you are bringing your dress less than 6 weeks before your day (150$) and less than 2 weeks (250$) before your day those fees will be added. If you, for whatever reason, never come to get your dress for your wedding day you will be charged 10$ per day storage and if it gets to 6 weeks past your wedding date SCA reserves the right to take possession of the dress and can use or resell as SCA sees fit

Extra Fees
RUSH FEES for non wedding gowns- will be determined depending on the amount that needs done and how fast you need the item. Fees will always be told to you at the fitting. No surprises.
GLITTER- due to wear and tear on my machines and the need to stop and clean them out with every glittered gown, there will be a 40$ fee for wedding gowns and 20$ fee for all other formal wear with glitter
MISSED APPOINTMENTS- there will be a 20$ fee for missed appointments without a prior call to reschedule or cancel.
TURN AROUND TIMES- turn around times can vary depending on the season/time of year. Your estimated turn around time will be given at your fitting and may be different from the last time you had something altered. Always schedule your fitting as soon as you know you will be needing services to guarantee your spot.
